Terms of Service

These terms apply when you play Conquer, in the Android app or on the website. Conquer is made by Second 21, a business in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). By playing, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to play and agrees to these terms.

2. Your account

You can play as a guest or sign in with Google. A guest account lives on your device: if you sign out, clear the app's data or lose the device, a guest's progress cannot be recovered. Signing in with Google keeps your progress safe and lets it follow you to other devices. Keep your device and your Google account secure; you are responsible for what is done with your account.

3. Playing fairly

When you play, and especially online, you agree not to:

• cheat, use bots or modified versions of the game, or exploit bugs;
• interfere with the game, its servers or other players' games;
• choose a nickname that is offensive, impersonates someone, or shares personal details;
• harass, threaten or abuse other players.

We may change an unsuitable nickname, remove points or matches won unfairly, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

4. Online matches

Online matches are played in rooms, and a player who does not move for a week loses the match. Points, rankings, room limits and other rules may change as the game develops. Online play depends on an internet connection and on our servers, which may sometimes be unavailable.

5. Ads and rewards

Conquer is free and supported by ads. Some ads are optional and give an in-game reward, such as extra undos, an extra room or a longer match series. Rewards have no money value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and may change. Ads may not always be available. Other ads appear now and then between matches, and a banner ad shows at the bottom of the screen during matches.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

Paid items, such as skins and the Plus and Premium plans, are sold through Google Play (or, on the website, through our payment partners RevenueCat and Stripe) under that store's terms, and are tied to your account. You need to sign in with Google to buy a plan, so it follows you to any device.

• Plus removes the ads shown between and during matches, and gives the rewards that optional ads would otherwise give, without the ad. The same limits apply.
• Premium includes Plus, and lets you use every board and dot skin while it lasts, including skins added later. When it ends, you keep only the skins you bought separately or earned in play.
• Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the price shown until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play → Subscriptions, or from Manage subscription on the website; your plan continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Upgrading from a Plus subscription to Premium charges only the difference for the rest of your current period. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
• Lifetime plans are a single payment and last for as long as Conquer is offered. If you have lifetime Plus, lifetime Premium costs only the difference.
• If we change a plan's price, we will tell you before it applies, and the store will ask for your agreement where its rules require it.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play or our payment partners under their policies.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. The game is ours

Conquer, its design, artwork, code and name belong to Second 21, apart from third-party content (such as music) used under licence and credited in the game. You may play the game for your own enjoyment; you may not copy, sell or redistribute it.

8. Changes to the game and these terms

We may update, change or stop parts of the game at any time. We may also change these terms; we will update the date above and tell you in the game about significant changes. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.

9. Our responsibility

The game is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss of progress, interruptions, or indirect loss arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded.

10. Ending

You can stop playing at any time and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete my account (see Delete your Conquer account). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of Queensland.
